Alex is a fast, dexterous humanoid upper torso from Boardwalk Robotics in the USA, focused on high-speed manipulation rather than legged mobility. As a manipulation-first humanoid robot, it concentrates its engineering exactly where the hands do the work.
It articulates through 19 degrees of freedom driven by custom in-house actuators that reach joint speeds up to 9 rad/s, enabling agile, precise manipulation while carrying a 10 kg payload. Vision and force sensors provide manipulation accuracy and environment awareness. Its proprietary control software is tuned for high-speed manipulation, sensor integration and safe human-robot interaction, and supports pilot programs and rapid deployment.
That speed and payload make it a natural fit for manufacturing, logistics handling, cooking and food-prep tasks, and applied research, where quick, repeatable manipulation drives throughput. Mounted on a workstation or mobile base, it can pick, place, sort and assemble at a pace that keeps up with fast-moving lines.
Nexon System deploys the Boardwalk Robotics Alex across Southeast Asia, delivering commissioning, task and manipulation programming, and integration with your MES, WMS and production-line systems. We provide operator training and ongoing support so the robot slots cleanly into your workflow. Talk to Nexon to scope a manipulation automation pilot.
