ALICE 4 is a humanoid robot from AeiRobot of South Korea, built around an unusual actuation philosophy. Standing 1.6 m and weighing 45 kg, it is designed for research, education and interactive entertainment, where smooth, precise and natural motion matters more than brute force.
Its 41 degrees of freedom are driven by proprietary in-house gearless linear actuators that offer low friction and high precision, controlled in real time by Field-Oriented Control. Force Sensing Resistors provide tactile feedback, an IMU maintains balance and movement monitoring, and depth cameras enable 3D environmental perception. Vision and depth-sensing AI pipelines with object detection, together with natural language processing, run on embedded onboard compute to support fluid human interaction.
Those qualities make the AeiRobot humanoid a strong fit for research, entertainment and education, particularly programmes exploring lifelike movement and interaction.
Nexon System supports ALICE 4 across Southeast Asia with commissioning, custom task and interaction development, SDK onboarding and technical support for labs and public-facing installations. Talk to Nexon to plan a deployment of this interactive humanoid robot.
