ALLEX

ALLEX by WIRobotics is a modular upper-body humanoid robot from South Korea with compliant, dexterous hands, deployed and integrated for manufacturing and care clients across Southeast Asia by Nexon System.

Last updated: 21 Aug 2025

Overview

ALLEX is a modular upper-body humanoid developed by WIRobotics in South Korea. Rather than a full walking machine, it focuses on human-level dexterity and compliant manipulation, making it a specialised platform for tasks that demand delicate, adaptive handling.

The WIRobotics ALLEX articulates through 15 degrees of freedom in its hands, using newly developed ultra-low-friction, backdrivable actuators that enable human-level adaptability and force control. Integrated force sensing through compliant mechanisms delivers tactile responsiveness without dedicated force sensors, while high-precision joint encoders provide accurate position feedback. Its closed-source software combines precise position control with compliant force and stiffness regulation and supports machine-learning-based sim-to-real training, allowing it to learn dexterous skills in simulation and transfer them to the real hardware.

WIRobotics targets manufacturing, healthcare, hospitality, age care and research, where the robot's gentle yet precise grasping suits assembly, assistive tasks, service work and dexterity research. Its compliance makes ALLEX safe to operate close to people, and this focus positions it as a capable manipulation-oriented humanoid robot for delicate handling that rigid industrial arms cannot manage.

Nexon System deploys ALLEX across Southeast Asia, handling commissioning, manipulation and task programming, integration with your MES, clinical or facility systems, and operator training with ongoing support. We define the grasping and handling tasks, tune the compliant control for your parts, and integrate the platform into your line or care setting. Talk to Nexon to scope an ALLEX pilot for your workflow.
