Alpha

Alpha is a vision-enabled half-humanoid from Switzerland's Duatic, a 1.73 m, 120 kg platform that combines strong lifting with autonomous navigation and dexterous manipulation for industrial logistics. Its half-humanoid layout focuses engineering on the arms and mobile base that industrial handling actually needs.

It is equipped with torque sensors on every joint for compliant, force-aware motion, a stereo and depth camera on the head for perception, and a LiDAR sensor on the base platform for navigation, and it moves on Duatic's in-house DuaDrive actuators. Its ROS 2-compatible software runs on an NVIDIA Jetson AGX, and an exceptional battery life of around 720 minutes supports very long working sessions, positioning Alpha as an endurance-focused industrial humanoid robot that developers can also integrate through ROS 2.

It is aimed at manufacturing, warehousing, logistics and retail, where dependable lifting, autonomous movement and long uptime drive productivity. Its per-joint torque sensing suits handling that must be both strong and controlled, from palletising to shelf work.
