Atlas 2026 is Boston Dynamics' production-ready electric humanoid, unveiled at CES 2026 for enterprise industrial work. Made in the United States, it stands 1.9 m tall and weighs about 90 kg, and its IP67-rated construction lets it operate in dusty, wet and otherwise unforgiving plant environments.
The platform packs 56 degrees of freedom driven by high-torque electric actuators, including 360-degree continuous-rotation joints at the hips, waist and neck, all built from 3D-printed titanium and aluminium. It handles a 50 kg instantaneous or 30 kg sustained payload, walks at roughly 8 to 9 km/h and runs about four hours with autonomous battery swapping. A perception stack of 360-degree cameras, LiDAR, depth and tactile fingertip sensors pairs with Google DeepMind Gemini Robotics and NVIDIA Isaac GR00T AI on Jetson Thor compute, managed through the Orbit fleet platform.
This makes the Boston Dynamics Atlas a genuine general-purpose worker for material handling, machine tending, automotive assembly, order fulfilment and heavy manufacturing.
