Black Panther II is a high-speed quadruped robot from MirrorMe Technology of China, built to push the limits of legged locomotion. Compact at 0.63 m and 32 kg, it is a research-focused machine engineered to explore just how fast and dynamic a four-legged robot can be.
Its headline capability is speed: Black Panther II can exceed 10 m/s, placing it among the fastest quadrupeds built. That performance comes from electrical actuation combined with a spring-assisted passive joint system that stores and returns energy during each stride. An Xsens MTi-630 IMU provides precise motion and posture sensing for stable high-speed control, and an Intel Atom x5-Z8350 runs its closed-source software.
As a research-grade quadruped robot, it is aimed squarely at high-speed locomotion research and advanced biomechanical robotics studies.
