Booster K1 is a small-format bipedal humanoid built by Booster Robotics in China. At roughly 19.5 kg it is a lightweight, agile machine designed for hands-on robotics work, aimed squarely at teams that need a capable yet approachable walking platform for the lab, the classroom or the competition field.
Driving 22 degrees of freedom, the K1 uses fully force-controlled joints with dual encoders that allow mixed torque, velocity and position control, with peak knee torque around 60 N·m. Its sensor suite pairs an RGBD camera, a microphone array, a 9-axis IMU and a speaker, enabling depth perception, audio interaction and the precise balance control that dynamic bipedal walking demands. Roughly 80 minutes of runtime supports typical development and demonstration sessions.
Booster ships the K1 as an open development platform with interfaces spanning low-level joints and sensors up to high-level motion APIs, making it a natural fit for education, research and robotics competitions.
