Made in the USA by Teledyne FLIR Defense, Centaur is a medium-sized tactical unmanned ground vehicle weighing about 74 kg. Its rugged, adaptive-track chassis and long-reach manipulator arm are built for explosive-ordnance disposal and hazardous-material response, letting operators handle dangerous objects from a safe distance rather than in person.
Centaur uses a PTZ camera for vision and integrates a broad CBRN sensor suite including MultiRAE Pro, JCAD, FIDO XT, Radiac and FirstDefender RMX for chemical, radiological and explosive detection. Electric drive motors power its locomotion while servo actuators drive the manipulator arm, and the ruggedized MOCU3 operator control unit, a hand controller with laptop, provides teleoperation, all supported by roughly 480 minutes of runtime.
As a tactical unmanned ground vehicle, Centaur supports defence, search and rescue, telepresence and reconnaissance. Its sensors and dexterous arm suit EOD, chemical and radiological detection, and remote inspection of dangerous areas, keeping bomb-disposal and hazmat teams out of the immediate blast or contamination zone. For police, military and civil-defence units across the region, it keeps skilled technicians out of the blast and contamination radius while still allowing precise, hands-on work.
Nexon System helps defence and public-safety agencies across Southeast Asia field the Teledyne FLIR Centaur, covering integration, sensor-payload setup, operator training and sustainment. Talk to Nexon to discuss EOD and CBRN robotics for your response teams. We help configure its sensor fit for your threats, train operators on the controller, and keep it supported so it is ready when a callout comes.
