DORA

DORA is a 1 m, 20 kg humanoid from Noetix Robotics of China, sized to work comfortably alongside people in homes and care settings. Its compact, lightweight build lets it operate safely in tight, human-centred spaces where a larger robot would be impractical or intimidating.

The robot senses its environment through a comprehensive suite that includes LiDAR for spatial mapping, RGB-D cameras for vision and gesture recognition, and tactile sensors for touch. Electric-drive actuators deliver peak joint torque of 120 Nm for controlled, capable movement, while onboard intelligence runs on NVIDIA Jetson Orin edge computing (8 GB, 40 TOPS). Its software combines deep reinforcement learning with visual interaction and LLM-based speech, so it can hold conversations, recognise gestures and adapt its behaviour in real time.

As a versatile service robot, DORA suits home assistance, elderly companionship and age care, hospitality greeting, healthcare support and light manufacturing tasks. Its perception and dialogue skills help it collaborate closely with people, offering reminders, guidance and simple physical help in everyday environments.
