The Sevnce Robotics Explosion-Proof Quadruped Robot is a rugged 30 kg-payload legged robot for hazardous-zone inspection, deployed and integrated across Southeast Asia by Nexon System.
Last updated: 18 Jan 2026
Sevnce Robotics builds the Explosion-Proof Quadruped Robot, a heavy 0.8 m, 100 kg four-legged platform from China engineered specifically to operate safely inside hazardous, potentially explosive atmospheres. Its certified enclosure lets it enter oil, gas, chemical and mining zones where conventional electronics would be a spark risk.
It carries payloads up to 30 kg and runs for about 180 minutes, sensing its surroundings with 3D LiDAR, depth cameras and an inertial measurement unit for orientation and balance. Electro-hydraulic composite drive actuators deliver strong, precise leg movement across broken ground, while a closed autonomy stack handles AI navigation, path planning and real-time positioning, making it a purpose-built quadruped robot for high-risk sites that people should not enter routinely.
It is aimed at plant and infrastructure inspection, monitoring, search and rescue, mining and surveillance in gas-prone or rough-terrain conditions. Fitted with the right payload it can read gauges, capture thermal imagery, sniff for leaks and patrol fixed routes on a schedule.
Nexon System deploys the Sevnce Robotics quadruped across Southeast Asia, managing commissioning, inspection-route programming and sensor-payload integration for gas, thermal or acoustic sensing. We connect its data streams to your SCADA and monitoring platforms, set up alerting, and train operators in safe handling within classified areas, with maintenance support suited to the region's humid, high-temperature sites.
