Friday is a dexterous wheeled humanoid from South Korea's Holiday Robotics, a 1.76 m, 115 kg platform built for high-speed logistics, assembly and research applications where fine hand work meets fast, mobile operation. Its wheeled base keeps it quick and stable on engineered floors.
It boasts an exceptional 63 degrees of freedom, including 20-DoF hands embedded with in-house tactile and force-torque sensors for high-fidelity grip control, and senses its surroundings with LiDAR and depth cameras. Brushless DC motors drive its motion, and an open Linux-based system runs on NVIDIA Jetson Orin, with roughly 240 minutes of runtime extended by hot-swappable batteries that keep it working through shift changes, marking it out as a highly articulate wheeled humanoid robot.
It is aimed at manufacturing and assembly, high-speed logistics, research and telepresence, where the combination of very fine manipulation and near-continuous operation adds real value. Its rich hands suit intricate assembly, while hot-swap power supports round-the-clock duty, and in research settings its high joint count makes it a strong platform for studying dexterous, whole-body manipulation.
