Keyper

Keyper is an autonomous four-legged inspection robot from Keybotic in Spain. Weighing around 43 kg, it is a robust industrial platform designed to climb stairs, navigate confined spaces and detect environmental anomalies to improve site safety and operational efficiency.

The Keybotic Keyper carries a rich sensor suite: stereo RGB cameras with wide fields of view, multi-channel LiDAR with centimetre precision, thermal and zoom cameras, microphones, spotlights and safety-relevant sensors. Fully electric actuators mounted in the legs reduce inertia and increase agility. Its closed-source software adds AI-based anomaly detection and alerting, 3D SLAM navigation with autonomous path planning, and a real-time behaviour-tuning platform developed in-house, allowing it to run inspection routes and flag issues automatically.

Keybotic targets inspections, infrastructure monitoring, manufacturing and mining, where the robot autonomously patrols plants, tunnels and industrial sites, reads instruments, captures thermal data and detects anomalies in places that are hazardous or hard to reach. Its onboard anomaly detection makes this quadruped robot a strong fit for predictive-maintenance programmes that aim to catch faults before they cause downtime.
