Kime

Kime is a 2 m, 80 kg humanoid service station from Macco Robotics of Spain, purpose-built to prepare and serve drinks and snacks. Rather than a mobile walker, it is a fixed humanoid kiosk that turns beverage service into a fast, consistent and self-contained experience for high-traffic venues.

The robot uses 22 degrees of freedom with articulated arms to pour, mix and serve, its actuators producing human-like, highly repeatable movements shift after shift. It senses and interacts through 3D LiDAR, an RGB-D camera, proximity and safety sensors, and facial-recognition cameras for safe, aware operation. Cloud-assisted AI software manages data processing, facial and voice recognition, cashless payment and remote management, letting a single unit run largely on its own and report performance back to operators.

As a specialised service robot, Kime fits hospitality venues, retail outlets, entertainment sites, corporate events and exhibitions, and wayfinding-style information points. It delivers rapid, uniform service during peak demand, reducing queues and freeing staff for tasks that need a human touch.
