Loona

Built in China by KEYi Technology, Loona is a compact companion robot standing just 0.17 m tall and weighing about 1.1 kg. Designed as an expressive robot pet, it plays, learns and reacts to the people around it, using its small size and animated personality to feel more like a living companion than a gadget in the home or classroom.

Loona senses its world through a 720p RGB camera, a 3D time-of-flight sensor, touch sensors, a three-axis accelerometer and gyroscope, and a microphone array with speaker. Two outer-rotor brushless DC servomotors drive its primary movement while four brushed DC servos animate its ears and body for interactive gestures, and a quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU with a 5 TOPS processing unit provides the on-board AI that powers its perception and behaviour.

As an interactive robot for education and companionship, Loona suits classrooms, family homes and demonstration spaces.
