MagicBot Z1 is a compact, full-body humanoid developed by Magiclab in China. Standing 1.37 metres tall and weighing around 40 kg, it is engineered as an accessible research-grade platform that also suits light industrial duty, giving integrators a manageable footprint without sacrificing human-scale reach or presence.
The robot moves through as many as 50 degrees of freedom and runs for roughly 120 minutes on a charge. Perception comes from a rich sensor stack: 3D LiDAR, an Intel-class depth camera, dual fisheye cameras and a head-mounted tactile sensor, while a microphone array handles noise reduction and echo cancellation. Motion is coordinated by the open Magic Atom control platform running on an 8-core high-performance CPU, with optional higher-compute configurations for heavier AI workloads.
Magiclab positions the Z1 for research, warehousing and logistics, where its expressive movement and dexterity support experimentation, material handling and repeatable pick-and-place routines. As a Magiclab humanoid, it is well suited to universities, R&D labs and pilot automation cells exploring embodied AI, and its open platform makes it a productive base for teams building and testing their own behaviours.
Nexon System integrates the Z1 for organisations across Southeast Asia, handling commissioning, task programming, safety setup and connection to your existing WMS or laboratory systems, plus operator training and ongoing local support tuned to the region's mixed-language teams and facility conditions. Whether you are trialling a humanoid robot for a research programme or a warehouse workflow, talk to Nexon to scope a pilot suited to your site.
