MobED

MobED is an adaptive wheeled mobile platform from South Korea's Robotics LAB, a low 0.65 m, 88 kg base engineered around posture control that keeps its load level and stable over kerbs, ramps and uneven ground. Rather than a fixed cart, it is a customisable chassis meant to carry very different modules on top.

It perceives its surroundings with two LiDAR units, eight radar sensors and three RGB cameras, and drives on independent in-wheel drive and steering motors that let each wheel steer and roll on its own for tight, agile manoeuvres. An optional Autonomy Stack adds AI self-driving with 3D mapping and obstacle avoidance, managed through a 7-inch touchscreen and running for about 240 minutes, and this sensor-rich, modular design makes it a highly configurable autonomous mobile robot.

It targets education and research, logistics and warehousing, last-metre delivery and security patrols, and can be dressed with modules for different payloads, cameras or displays to suit each mission. The adaptive posture is especially useful where surfaces and gradients vary.
