PUDU D1

PUDU D1 is an autonomous four-legged delivery robot from Pudu Robotics in China. Building on Pudu's strength in service robotics, it applies legged mobility to logistics, enabling secure last-mile transport across terrain that challenges wheeled machines.

While headline dimensional figures are not published, the Pudu Robotics D1 is defined by its capable systems: multi-sensor fusion combining cameras and 3D sensors for obstacle avoidance, joint position encoders and inertial measurement units for stable locomotion. Proprietary high-performance joint modules use hollow wiring and 19-bit high-precision encoders for accurate control, and its closed-source AI software stack supports autonomous navigation, obstacle avoidance, human-computer interaction and visual SLAM for mapping. An auto-levelled delivery box keeps carried items secure and upright even on stairs and slopes.

Pudu targets logistics, hospitality, retail, infrastructure monitoring and inspections, where the D1 delivers goods, navigates complex indoor and outdoor spaces and performs light monitoring rounds. Its all-terrain adaptability and secure cargo box make this delivery robot well suited to campuses, resorts, venues and mixed environments where steps and uneven paths would stop a wheeled unit.
