Built in the USA by AeroVironment, the Puma Series (3AE) is a hand-launchable tactical unmanned aircraft weighing about 7.1 kg. Larger and more capable than the Raven, it trades a little portability for greater endurance and payload flexibility, and its rugged design supports both land and maritime operations, including water landings.
Puma carries the Mantis i45 EO/IR sensor with a laser illuminator for low-light imaging and navigates via GPS/INS. Brushless electric motors provide quiet propulsion, the open-architecture Tomahawk ground control system directs the aircraft, and endurance reaches roughly 180 minutes, giving operators substantial time on station for persistent observation.
As a long-endurance tactical drone, the Puma Series supports defence, reconnaissance and telepresence. Its extended flight time and multi-payload flexibility suit border and coastal surveillance, force protection and expeditionary reconnaissance across the varied land and sea environments found throughout the region. Its rugged, water-capable design suits the region's mix of jungle, coast and open water, where a single airframe may cross several very different environments in one mission.
Nexon System supports defence customers across Southeast Asia in fielding the AeroVironment Puma, covering integration, payload setup, operator training and sustainment. Talk to Nexon to plan a versatile, long-endurance tactical UAS capability. Nexon aligns it with your command and imagery tools, trains your crews, and provides sustainment so its long endurance translates into dependable time on station. We can also advise on basing and recovery, including over-water operation, so the platform suits the terrain your teams actually cross.
