Last updated: 08 Jun 2025

Overview

The XPeng PX5 is a 1.5 m humanoid from Xiao Peng of China, developed by the automaker to showcase stable bipedal walking paired with dexterous hands. It is aimed at both practical industrial tasks and public demonstrations of natural, human-like mobility.

The robot has 22 degrees of freedom and handles a 3 kg payload, driven by self-developed high-performance joints tuned for stable locomotion and dexterous manipulation. Tactile sensors on the fingertips give it a sense of touch for careful handling, while vision and environment sensors support navigation and obstacle detection. Its software combines proprietary AI and control algorithms with real-time motion planning, tactile sensing, hybrid rigid-soft drive control for the hands, and autonomous navigation, so it can move and manipulate objects fluidly.

As a capable humanoid robot, the PX5 suits manufacturing, retail engagement, research and entertainment. Its walking stability and tactile hands support tasks that mix mobility with delicate manipulation, and its automotive-grade engineering lineage makes it a compelling demonstration platform.

Nexon System deploys the XPeng PX5 across Southeast Asia, providing commissioning, manipulation and task programming, and integration with production, retail and facility systems. Every deployment includes operator training and continuing support and maintenance, so customers can move from initial trials to reliable everyday operation with a clear support path.
