The RB-Y1 is a 1.4 m, 13 kg bimanual mobile manipulator from Rainbow Robotics of South Korea, described as the country's first robot of its kind. It marries a wheeled mobile base with two arms and a raising torso for flexible reach and agile industrial work, letting it both travel to a task and carry it out.
The robot has 24 degrees of freedom and rides on omnidirectional wheels, with high-performance actuators enabling smooth, precise dual-arm manipulation and vertical torso movement for a wide working envelope from floor level to high shelves. Its sensing includes an IMU, gripper sensors, LiDAR for environment mapping and other proprioceptive and exteroceptive sensors. The control software provides full-body motion control, a master-slave teaching interface, self-collision detection and prevention, and an AI-enabled simulation environment for development.
As a mobile humanoid robot manipulator, the RB-Y1 suits manufacturing, logistics, facility inspections and research. Its mobility and dual arms let it reposition freely and perform precise handling, making it well suited to dynamic workspaces rather than fixed cells.
Nexon System deploys the Rainbow Robotics RB-Y1 across Southeast Asia, providing commissioning, manipulation and task programming, and integration with WMS, MES and inspection workflows. Every project includes operator training on teaching and safe operation plus continuing support and maintenance, so customers can scale mobile manipulation with confidence.
