Overview

RBQ-3 is an autonomous four-legged robot from Rainbow Robotics in South Korea. About 0.4 metres tall and 25 kg, it is a compact, terrain-adaptable platform designed for surveillance and inspection missions across varied and demanding environments.

The Rainbow Robotics RBQ-3 integrates a suite of sensors including LiDAR for 3D environment scanning, RGB cameras for visual recognition and depth or stereo cameras for spatial awareness. Electric joint actuators enable dynamic legged locomotion with precise torque and position control, giving it stable movement over rough ground. Its closed-source software provides autonomous walking and gait control, sensor fusion for mapping and obstacle avoidance, and a wireless communication stack for remote operation, with roughly 150 minutes of runtime per charge.

Rainbow Robotics targets surveillance, reconnaissance, search and rescue, security patrols and inspections, where the RBQ-3's mobility and sensing let it scout hazardous areas, monitor perimeters and gather data where wheeled machines cannot go. Its terrain adaptability makes this quadruped robot well suited to unstructured environments such as disaster zones, construction sites and rough industrial ground.

Nexon System deploys the RBQ-3 across Southeast Asia, providing commissioning, patrol and inspection-route programming, integration with your security or monitoring systems, and operator training with ongoing support. We map your site, define autonomous and remote-operated missions, and connect the robot's video and sensor feeds into your control room. Talk to Nexon to plan an RBQ-3 deployment.
