RIVR One is an autonomous wheeled-legged robot from RIVR in Switzerland, built specifically for last-mile logistics. By combining legs with powered wheels, it can roll efficiently along paths and then climb steps and kerbs to reach doorways, bridging the gap that stops purely wheeled delivery robots.
The RIVR One carries a payload of up to 30 kg and runs for around 180 minutes per charge. Its sensor suite includes multi-directional cameras, LiDAR for 3D mapping and object detection, proximity sensors for obstacle avoidance and likely IMUs for balance. Electric actuators at the leg joints and powered wheels at each foot deliver hybrid mobility, while closed-source AI-driven physical intelligence, trained with reinforcement and supervised learning, handles real-time navigation and SLAM in changing environments.
RIVR targets logistics, infrastructure monitoring, inspections and security patrols, where the robot performs autonomous parcel delivery, carrying goods across mixed terrain and integrating with delivery workflows.
