Spot

Spot is Boston Dynamics' commercially proven quadruped robot, built to carry sensors into places that are difficult, repetitive or unsafe for people to reach. Compact at 0.61 m and 37.9 kg, it walks stairs, crosses rough or cluttered ground and rights itself after slips, making it a dependable mobile platform for routine data collection.

Autonomy is Spot's strength. Stereo cameras, an IMU and position and force sensing across its limbs give it 360° awareness and athletic, self-correcting locomotion, so it can run pre-taught inspection routes without an operator once configured. A roughly 90-minute battery supports scheduled patrols, and an open gRPC API, Python client library and the Spot SDK let integrators add custom payloads and connect the robot to existing monitoring systems.
