Sprout

Created in the USA by Fauna Robotics, Sprout is a friendly, lightweight humanoid standing 1.07 m tall and weighing 22.7 kg. Its compact, approachable design and open software make it well suited to developers, educators and interactive settings alike, offering a safe, hackable platform rather than a closed, industrial machine.

Sprout provides 29 degrees of freedom driven by electric servo motors, and perceives its surroundings with a ZED 2i stereo vision camera, four ToF sensors, a four-microphone array and an IMU. Crucially, it runs an open-source stack via the Fauna SDK with Python and C++ APIs and Foxglove integration, all on an onboard NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin 64 GB, and offers roughly 210 minutes of runtime for extended development and interaction sessions.
