Overview

SVAN M2 is an agile, autonomous four-legged robot developed by xTerra Robotics in India. At around 11 kg it is a lightweight, portable platform designed for all-terrain mobility in industrial inspection and security roles.

The xTerra Robotics SVAN M2 integrates inertial measurement units, joint encoders and high-definition cameras, with potential thermal and LiDAR modules, and can carry a 5 kg payload for around 60 minutes per charge. Its proprietary QDD quasi-direct-drive electric actuators provide high torque, responsiveness and precision, giving it nimble movement over stairs and uneven ground. Real-time locomotion control and perception run on ROS-based frameworks, with AI algorithms for autonomous navigation, mapping and anomaly detection.

xTerra targets inspections, security patrols, search and rescue, infrastructure monitoring and surveillance, where the SVAN M2's agility and modular sensing let it patrol facilities, scout hazardous areas and gather data where wheeled robots struggle. Its payload flexibility makes this quadruped robot adaptable to a range of missions, from thermal inspection to perimeter security, simply by changing the mounted sensors.

Nexon System deploys the SVAN M2 across Southeast Asia, handling commissioning, patrol and inspection-route programming, payload and sensor integration, connection to your monitoring or security systems, and operator training with ongoing support. We select and fit the right payloads, define autonomous routes for your site and route the collected data into your control tools. Talk to Nexon to scope a SVAN M2 deployment.
