Switchblade Series (600)

Built in the USA by AeroVironment, the Switchblade Series (600) is a portable loitering munition weighing around 29.5 kg. Tube-launched and man-portable, the 600 is the long-range member of the Switchblade family, combining extended reconnaissance and surveillance with a precision engagement option in a single, rapidly deployable system.

It carries a dual EO/IR two-axis gimbaled sensor suite for reconnaissance, surveillance and target acquisition, and uses electric propulsion with control surfaces for quiet, controllable flight. The system runs on a closed-source architecture and provides roughly 50 minutes of loiter time, giving operators a window to locate, identify, track and, if authorised, engage a target with precision.

As a loitering tactical drone, the Switchblade 600 supports defence, reconnaissance, security patrols and telepresence.
