THEMIS V2 is a full-size humanoid from Westwood Robotics for logistics, manufacturing, healthcare and inspection, deployed and integrated across Southeast Asia by Nexon System.
Last updated: 09 Jun 2025
THEMIS V2 is a 1.6 m, 36 kg full-size humanoid from Westwood Robotics of the USA, engineered for both agility and useful work. Its lightweight yet capable frame bridges research demonstrations and practical service and industrial tasks, appealing to teams that want performance without excessive mass.
The robot has 40 degrees of freedom, runs at up to 10 km/h and is powered by Westwood's proprietary BEAR actuators, including liquid-cooled variants, which provide back-drivable, compliant, high-torque actuation for smooth, safe movement. It perceives its surroundings through stereo vision cameras on the head and body, a MicroStrain 3DM-CV7-AHRS IMU running above 1000 Hz, and force sensors in the joints for compliant control, with a battery runtime of roughly 180 minutes. Its AI-Augmented Humanoid OS is built on ROS and integrates large language models with real-time motion planning.
As a versatile humanoid robot, THEMIS V2 suits logistics and material handling, manufacturing support, healthcare tasks, facility inspections and research on dynamic whole-body control. Its speed and compliant joints let it operate near people while still moving quickly across a site.
Nexon System deploys the Westwood THEMIS V2 across Southeast Asia, delivering commissioning, ROS-based task programming, and integration with WMS, MES and inspection workflows. Each deployment includes operator training and dependable local support and maintenance, so industrial and research customers can put the platform to work with confidence.
