Tien Kung is a 1.7 m research humanoid from X Humanoid of China, designed to push the limits of dynamic bipedal locomotion. Its open platform and athletic capabilities make it a reference machine for teams exploring how robots move through demanding, unstructured terrain.
The robot has 20 degrees of freedom and reaches speeds of up to 12 km/h, driven by high-performance actuators that enable stable, powerful walking as well as dexterous hand manipulation. Its multimodal sensing combines LiDAR, depth cameras and force sensors for environment mapping, obstacle avoidance and interaction. The open-source Hui Si Kai Wu AI platform provides autonomous decision-making, task planning, vision processing, language understanding and motion control, giving researchers a full, extensible software stack to modify and extend.
As an athletic humanoid robot, Tien Kung suits research, search-and-rescue scenarios that require climbing stairs and crossing complex ground, manufacturing support, education and facility inspections. Its speed and terrain-handling make it particularly relevant to labs studying robust locomotion and to response-oriented use cases.
