Torobo is a 1.66 m, 160 kg humanoid from Tokyo Robotics of Japan, built as a high-fidelity research platform with rich force sensing. Its emphasis on torque control and smooth, human-like motion makes it well suited to studying learned manipulation and safe physical interaction.
The robot uses high-precision actuators in all joints, including 7-axis arms, a waist, a neck and a mobile base, for fluid motion and accurate force control.
