The TP-01, also known as TangPa, is a compact interactive humanoid from CHRIC in China. Standing just 0.85 m and weighing 34 kg, this bipedal platform is purpose-built for customer-facing duty in retail aisles, hotel lobbies and busy public events, where a friendly, human-scale presence matters more than raw power.
Its 22 degrees of freedom include a patented 6-DoF expressive neck mechanism and a 16-DoF body, all coordinated by the proprietary R-PAN autonomous navigation system. A 19-inch interactive touchscreen, multimodal emotion-sensing cameras, obstacle-detection sensors and a microphone array support rich two-way interaction, while a fleet management dashboard synchronises multiple units for choreographed group displays across roughly three hours of runtime.
As an engaging service robot, TP-01 shines in retail customer service, hotel concierge work, museum guiding, event entertainment and synchronized fleet performances.
