Tron 1

Tron 1 by LimX Dynamics is a modular multi-modal Chinese bipedal robot for education and research, deployed and integrated across Southeast Asia by Nexon System.

Last updated: 29 Oct 2025

Overview

Tron 1 is a modular biped from China's LimX Dynamics, a compact 0.84 m, 20 kg platform notable for switching between Point-Foot, Sole and Wheeled modes so a single robot can serve very different research scenarios. That reconfigurability makes it a flexible testbed for locomotion studies.

It perceives its surroundings with an RGBD camera for 3D perception and an IMU for balance and inertial measurement, and moves on in-house 48 V electric actuators that provide 30 Nm of continuous and 80 Nm of peak torque for smooth, powerful joint movement. An open SDK with Python support, high-performance motion-control algorithms, a one-click Sim2Real deployment tool and compatibility with NVIDIA Isaac, plus about 120 minutes of runtime, make it an ideal research-grade bipedal robot that labs can program and iterate on quickly.

It is squarely aimed at education and robotics research, where its reconfigurable locomotion, open tooling and simulation-to-real workflow let students and researchers move rapidly from idea to hardware. The three locomotion modes make it a versatile teaching and experimentation platform.

Nexon System supports the LimX Dynamics Tron 1 for universities and research labs across Southeast Asia. We provide commissioning, SDK and simulation-to-real enablement, integration with your existing research pipelines, and developer training, all backed by regional support and spares.
