TRON 2

Engineered in China by LimX Dynamics, TRON 2 is a modular embodied platform that can be reconfigured between dual-arm, bipedal and wheeled configurations. That adaptability lets a single machine serve very different experiments and jobs, giving research teams and integrators one versatile base for studying manipulation, locomotion and mobility instead of buying separate specialised robots for each.

In its dual-arm mode TRON 2 is equipped with RGBD cameras at the waist, head and wrist plus an IMU, while its bipedal mode uses a single waist-mounted RGBD camera. Motion is delivered by in-house electric actuators developed by LimX, and the EDU model adds an 11th-generation Intel Core i7-1165G7 processor running at 2.80 GHz for on-board computation, while the standard model ships without that integrated compute.

As a reconfigurable modular robot, TRON 2 supports research, education, manufacturing and telepresence. Universities and industrial R&D groups can use one platform to explore dexterous manipulation, dynamic bipedal walking and wheeled terrain mobility, then repurpose it for teleoperated tasks or classroom demonstrations as project needs change.
