VAPOR Series by AeroVironment is a modular electric VTOL UAS for autonomous ISR and multi-mission roles, deployed and integrated across Southeast Asia by Nexon System.
Last updated: 01 Feb 2026
Built in the USA by AeroVironment, the VAPOR Series is a modular electric helicopter-style VTOL unmanned aircraft, with this variant roughly 0.64 m and 30.8 kg. Its rotorcraft design allows vertical launch, precise hovering and pinpoint landings from tight spaces, making it adaptable to a wide range of payload-driven civil and defence missions.
The aircraft uses the Trillium HD-25 gimbal for stabilized vision and is propelled by brushless electric motors for quiet, efficient flight. It is directed through Tomahawk, AeroVironment's AI-enhanced, open-architecture ground control system, with an NVIDIA Orin processor providing autonomy and vision compute, and supports roughly 105 minutes of flight per sortie.
As a versatile VTOL UAS, the VAPOR Series supports defence, surveillance, inspections, logistics and reconnaissance. Its interchangeable modules let a single airframe swap between ISR, infrastructure inspection and light payload delivery, suiting operators who need one flexible aircraft rather than several single-role platforms. For industrial users, the same airframe that flies defence ISR can inspect towers, lines and remote assets, spreading its value across multiple departments.
Nexon System supports defence and industrial customers across Southeast Asia in fielding the AeroVironment VAPOR, covering ground-control integration, payload configuration, operator training and support. Talk to Nexon to plan a flexible VTOL programme that adapts to changing mission needs. Nexon configures payloads for each mission type, integrates imagery into your workflows, and trains crews so one platform serves many needs reliably.
