W1 is a wheeled quadruped from China's LimX Dynamics, a hybrid platform that blends legged agility with wheeled efficiency and can even walk bipedally to tackle especially demanding terrain. This flexibility lets a single robot roll fast on smooth ground yet step and climb where wheels alone would fail.
It relies on multi-modal sensors for real-time environmental perception, including terrain recognition and obstacle detection that feed its motion planning, and moves on multiple high-performance electric actuators powering both its legs and wheels. Its proprietary Motion Intelligence technology fuses perception, reinforcement learning, multi-rigid-body dynamics and model predictive control, giving this wheeled quadruped robot strong adaptability and stable dynamic locomotion across surfaces that shift underfoot.
It is aimed at inspections, logistics, research and infrastructure monitoring, where switching between wheels and legs helps it cover varied environments efficiently, from smooth corridors to broken outdoor ground. On patrol it can carry sensor payloads and follow fixed routes; in research it serves as a capable hybrid-locomotion testbed, and its ability to walk bipedally on demand extends its reach into obstacles that defeat purely wheeled machines.
Nexon System deploys the LimX Dynamics W1 across Southeast Asia. We handle commissioning, inspection-route and behaviour programming, sensor and payload integration, and connection to your monitoring and SCADA systems with alerting. Operator training, developer enablement and regional support keep it working in demanding conditions. Talk to Nexon System to trial the W1 on your site.
