X20 is an industrial four-legged robot from DEEP Robotics in China. About 1 metre long and 50 kg, it is a rugged, mid-large platform engineered for autonomous operation in demanding and hazardous industrial settings.
The quadruped robot carries a comprehensive sensor suite that includes LiDAR, high-resolution panoramic cameras, GNSS for outdoor positioning and environmental sensors for hazardous-gas detection and heat monitoring. High-torque electric actuators drive its agile, stable gait, and a depth-sensing camera feeds a ROS-based intelligent perception and AI computing module. With roughly 240 minutes of runtime, it supports extended autonomous rounds, and modular payloads let it adapt to different inspection missions.
DEEP Robotics targets construction, infrastructure monitoring, inspections, logistics and reconnaissance, where the X20 can patrol substations, plants and pipelines, detect gas leaks and hotspots, and reach areas unsafe for human workers.
