XGO-Rider is a desktop-sized dual-wheeled bipedal robot from Luwu Intelligence in China. At about 0.16 metres tall and only 0.6 kg, it is a self-balancing educational platform that pairs a playful form with genuine programmability for STEM learning.
The Luwu XGO-Rider senses its world with a 3-axis IMU for attitude and posture feedback, a 5MP OV5647 camera for vision and dual MEMS microphones for audio. Its joints use 6V, 4.5 kg·cm all-metal magnetically encoded serial-bus servos, while 8.4V magnetically encoded outer-rotor brushless hub motors with FOC drive the wheels for stable balancing and omnidirectional movement. Around 60 minutes of runtime supports classroom sessions, and its open-source stack spans MakeCode for micro:bit users, Python SDKs and APIs on Raspberry Pi CM4, and ROS packages for more advanced work.
